Dr. Lehrfeld was born in Rockland County, NY. He studied Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and later obtained his Medical Doctorate at Boston University School of Medicine. He returned to Baltimore to complete his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He then completed a one year fellowship in Minimally invasive Urology at the University of Pennsylvania. During his training, he published articles on bladder and sexual dysfunction, urologic oncology, as well as minimally invasive urology.
Dr. Lehrfeld is also a specialist in Medical Informatics, a field which focuses on advancing the quality of health care delivered by utilizing technology. Dr. Lehrfeld is one of fewer than five urologists in the country who is dual board certified in both Urology and Clinical Informatics. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Jersey Urology Group, and also performs consulting work for other physician groups to help them improve their efficiency and the quality of care provided to patients.
Dr. Lehrfeld currently resides in Egg Harbor Township, NJ with his wife, two daughters, and wheaton terrier.
